Woo hoo! It’s finally here, a Toronto BMX ride park that rocks and is legal. Locals have been waiting for this chance to jump the bumps for years.
This medium-sized ride space is all dirt with an excellent variety of jumps, boardwalks and skinnies to check out for the BMX crowd and anyone with a decent .
Look to find at one end numerous pump tracks and structures easing into harder skills further back to the high jump lines.
Designed well to maximize this small space, the site is family friendly and has many challenges for all levels.
Using common signage indicating difficulty, (green, blue and black), riders can test their skills on the many structures. Hours of FUN!
This ride park is built with all natural materials. (almost) Expect the clay jumps to be too slick to ride after a rain. Being beside the highway could be a distraction for both parties.
One could wish a better location for the next one with less noise and pollution but otherwise Canadian ride park designer Jay Hoots did a great job.
Future plans are to add a car drop off, bathrooms and maybe even a bike shop. I saw kids of all ages there — some wee ones were fearless ;^)
This one’s not in my MTB trail guide, but 55 others are, with better topo maps and riding tips. Available as an eBook or paperback.
