Ontario MTB & Off Road Cycling Clubs
Ontario has many bicycle riding clubs to suit everyone’s style of riding, from pleasure cruising to racing.
Here is a list of bike clubs that do mountain bike group rides, a few ride more mellow city park paths and on rail trails too.
Many clubs are a mix of MTB and road cyclists, as some of us do both.

Ontario Central
Short Hills Cycling Club – a MTB club located in the Niagara Peninsula area hosting races and rides.
Sunflowers Cycling Club – women’s club in Niagara area, MTB and park trails
Uxbridge Cycling Club – social road riding mainly
Hamilton Cycling Club – old small club 1818, a bit of road and MTB
True Grit Cycling Club – new MTB club in the Hamilton area, Ladies Wed. rides
Caledon Cycling Club – large MTB club riding trails NW of Toronto, weekly rides
Woodstock Cycling Club – they manage The Pines trail system in Woodstock
Turkey Point MTB Club – operates down by Lake Erie area
Energy Cycling Club – some MTB, racing, around the Niagara Peninsula
Team Van Go – MTB riders based out of Dufferin, Simcoe, Grey-Bruce and Caledon
Muskoka Of Road Cycling Assc. – MORCA -A new MTB club in Bracebridge area
Bikes & Beer – MTB club based in Burlington with craft beer adventures too
Midland MTB Club – new club, riding local trails
Simcoe County MTB Club – SCMBC – large MTB club north of Barrie, homebase Oro Network
Haliburton Mountain Bike Club – small club rides Glebe Park in Haliburton

Toronto – GTA
Durham Mountain Biking Assoc. – DMBA – One of the largest MTB clubs in Ontario on the east side of Toronto.
York Mountain Bike Assoc. – YMBA – and off shoot of DMBA, focused on the York Region.
Halton – HAFTA – Halton based MTB club manages Agreement Forest.
Toronto Bicycle Club – (was High Park Bike Club) road riding and park trails around GTA
Defiant MTB – a facebook group with a good following in Toronto west to Kitchener of hardy riders with a few planned rides for experienced riders, general discussion on trails and gear.
Don Valley MTB – a small group of riders focusing on riding the Toronto Don Valley trails
TORBA – Toronto Off Road Bicycling Assoc. – a few rides organized and general discussion on trails and gear in Toronto
Wild Bettys – Womens Mountain Bike Group – active with weekly rides and a race team.
Mississauga MTB Assoc. – MMBA – a new MTB club for westend GTA riders
Toronto Bicycling Network – a large mainly road riding group. Lots of organized bike rides, some of the slower rides stick to off road park trails and rails trails. Day ride and weekend tripping. (my old club)
Ontario Western
GORBA – Guelph Off Road Bicycle Club is an active group riding Guelph Lake and other local trail
Waterloo Cycling Club– some of the club’s riders mtb at the Hydro Cut and maintain it.
London Cycling Club – rides the region and does some park trail riding
Brant Cycling Club – some trail riding, new bike park! around Brantford area
Woodstock Cycling Club – they MTB and maintain The Pines
Own Sound Cycling Club – small amount of MTB activity
Ontario Eastern
Peterborough Cycling Club – active club with many MTB riders. Involved in local trail development at Harold Town.
Cobourg Cycling Club – MTB Northumberland Forest on Thursdays
Kawartha Cycling Club – road riders that have group rail trail rides
MTB Kingston – join to ride private MTB trails
Kingston Velo Club – recreational, social cycling some on trails
OMBA – Large Ottawa MTB club that rides the region and into Quebec
BORCA – Beachburg Off Road Cycling Assoc. – small group, a few rides, nice website, along the Ottawa River
Ottawa Bicycle Club – large club of road riders
Ottawa Valley Cycling & ATA – small club of mixed riding groups in the valley area
Ontario Northern
Walden Mountain Bike Club – active with group rides (women’s group too), races for MTB riders in the Sudbury area – Walden (Naughton) Trails
Sudbury Women’s Bike Group – MTB riders, ride Naughton and elsewhere
North Bay Mountain Bike Assoc. – new club, join and help build new trail
Sault Cycling Club – Sault Ste. Marie riders do some off road MTB riding
Blacksheep Mountain Bike Club – MTB riding outside of Thunder Bay

IMBA – International Mountain Bike Association – Canada The main voice to help build and protect our MTB sport here in Canada and worldwide. Help support with your $$ and time.
OCA – Ontario Cycling Association – leading bike organization, races, all things road riding and MTB
BMX Canada – focus is on BMX racing
